Bearded Dragon Care Sheet
Health Guarantee
Devonshire Dragon Policies
Lifetime Support: We are happy to help you with any question that you have about your dragon or Bearded Dragon care after the purchase. Our Beardies are guaranteed to be healthy and parasite free at the time of sale. If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, you may return the Dragon within two weeks for a full refund, minus shipping. After two weeks, we will be happy to take the Dragon back and help find it a new home for the lifetime of the Dragon, but we cannot refund the purchase price.
Sex, Size and Color: All estimates of size and the sex of an animal are my best estimate. Dragons occasionally have genitals that are confusing, especially in young dragons, so I cannot guarantee sex. Predictions of adult size are also my best guess and are not an absolute guarantee. Pastel Morphs will change color over time, gaining more color. However, pastels will change color, more than other morphs, with lighting, temperature, and mood. We do our best to represent the genetics and breeding as accurately as possible.
Pricing: Our dragons are priced to reflect fair market value for that particular animal at time of sale. Our prices also include the fact that our animals are vet checked and parasite tested, and guaranteed parasite free at time of purchase. We know of no other Beardie breeder who offers such a guarantee. We also keep our babies longer than most breeders to ensure that they are well started on socialization and strong enough to transition to their new home. Therefore, please understand that I will not haggle over dragon prices and I will view attempts to ‘low ball’ me as a sign that you cannot afford the care a Bearded Dragon needs after the sale.
Payment: We accept cash, Paypal, and credit cards through Square. All dragons must be paid for before they are shipped or before I leave my house to deliver your dragon. This includes pickups at Reptile Shows.
Deposits on Babies: I offer an email list with info on each clutch. If you are interested in the babies from a particular mating, please let me know and I will add you to the list. We accept deposits on baby dragons only after they hatch. The deposit is a non-refundable $50 that reserves your place in order received of choice on the clutch. The $50 will be applied towards the price of your dragon. At six weeks of age, you will be asked to pick the baby you want and then pay for it in full. If you have experience in Bearded Dragon care, you may take your baby home at eight weeks. If this is your first Beardie, we ask that you wait until your baby is eight to ten weeks old.
I do not accept deposits on sub-adult and adult dragons. These dragons can only be reserved by payment in full and we will only hold them for two week. If customers do not pickup their dragons within two weeks of the sale, the purchase price will be returned minus $50 handling charge and fees.
Conditions of Sale: I love each and every dragon that I breed. In order to ensure that your dragon has a long and happy life as your pet, I will only sell a dragon to the person who will own and care for it. (See below for sale to minors.) I require everyone who buys a bearded dragon from me to either discuss their cage setup with me or to send me a picture of their setup. We will also review diet and care before the purchase and every family will receive a packet on Bearded Dragon care and a free hammock. We have a minimum cage size requirement and care standard required for purchase. Buyers also need to have an established food source for their dragons before delivery. I reserve the right to refuse a sale without explanation for any reason.
Housing a Bearded Dragon purchased from us with another Bearded Dragon, Reptile, or Animal renders all of our health and satisfaction guarantees null and void. If your dragon become ill or dies, we must have the animal back before a replacement or refund will be issue. If we suspect that the lizard was not cared for in a manner consistent with our care sheet, or that the animal was abused in some way, we will not issue a replacement or refund. In the event of dispute, the buyer has an option to have the animal examined by our exotic vet at the buyer’s expense. The opinion of our exotic vet will prevail.
In the case of older dragons, we try to find the right homes to fit their personality and needs. Beardies are like dogs, each has their own personality. Therefore, I reserve the right to refuse the sale of an animal to any home that is I think is not the right fit or does not have the ability to care for the animal. Please understand that we want to make sure that every dragon will do well in their new home and be a great pet for their new family.
Sales to Minors: No direct sales to minors or to majority-aged teenagers who live at home with parents. Teenagers can make terrific reptile owners. My own 16 year old has lots of reptiles that she loves and cares for. But parents must understand the care that is going to be involved. So any under aged buyer or teenager still living with parents must have their parent or guardian contact me and actually buy the dragon for their child. Parents purchasing a Dragon for a younger child must review Beardie care and understand the commitment involved when you purchase a Bearded Dragon. Thank you for understanding.
Sales of Preowned Cages: All sales on preowned cages, tanks, and equipment are final and “as is.” We do our best to clearly represent the condition of each used cage and tank we sell. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the condition of the cage. Please make sure that you can transport the cage home before you buy.

Are you interested in a emotional support or pet therapy dragon?
I initially became interested in Pet Therapy when I volunteered my first dog, Lacey, to work with Alzheimer patients at a local nursing home. She loved every minute of her work and the patients benefited from her visits. In recent years, other animals, including reptiles, are begun doing pet therapy. We are proud of the fact that two of the dragons we bred in the last generation have been officially certified as Emotional Support Animals by the State of Ohio and that another two currently work in nursing homes. We think our Giant genetics are creating some animals particularly suited for these jobs, and we would like to offer more of these animals.
Pet therapy dragons are not the same as emotional support animals. Animal Pet Therapists usually do work that stimulates patients physically or mentally to help them get back to the tasks of everyday life, or to help diminish the symptoms of their illness. Therefore, Pet Therapy Dragons have personalities and bodies that can take the rough and tumble of dealing with multiple patients and being occasionally pulled and tugged. Emotional support animals have the opposite job. They calm their owners and help them to diminish the stresses of everyday life and, hopefully as a result, the symptoms of their illness. Emotional Support Animals are intended for one person only and for situations in which there is no physical stress. They thrive on being handled and petted by their owners, and have the capacity to develop a deep emotional bond with their human.
The animals offered on this page are not intended to treat or cure any disease, nor is there any guarantee, real or implied, that owning one of these animals will diminish the symptoms of any illness. However, the benefits of pet therapy animals are well established, and the animals listed on this page have what we think are the most suitable personalities for these roles.
